Brave Soul Collective (BSC) is proud to present "Brave Soul Ten: The Performance & The Party" (from 7 – 10 pm) on Saturday May 28th, 2016, at Atlas Performing Arts Center in Washington, DC, during Memorial Day Weekend.

In presenting Brave Soul Ten, BSC celebrates its ten-year anniversary as a multi-disciplinary arts & education organization focused on HIV/AIDS outreach and prevention, as well as issues affecting the lives of Black LGBTQ individuals and communities at large, through the creative, performing and healing arts.

On Saturday May 27th 2006, BSC hosted its first public event, “Brave Soul Saturday” at Warehouse Theatre, during Memorial Day Weekend. Since that spring, BSC’s popular “Brave Soul Saturday/Sunday” events have helped to fulfill one part of BSC’s community outreach mission -- to spark necessary dialogue and create safe spaces for Black LGBTQ people to gather and discuss issues affecting their lives and communities. Later that same year, BSC presented its first performing arts production, Brave Souls UNPLUGGED: A Collage In Truth. In its ten year history, it has produced over 15 stage productions, including: Journeys (2009), Aesthetics (2010), Smoke Screens (2011), Moments of Truth (2012), WTF Happened To Baby Sister (2014) and most recently, Plot Twists (2015).

“Brave Soul Ten” (which also serves as a special BSC fundraising event) will include an evening of exciting theatre, music & spoken word performances and the night will end with a celebratory party complete with food, music & prizes.

Tickets are now available online for a limited time ($20) and can be purchased by visiting: http://tinyurl.com/BraveSoulTen. Patrons planning to attend are encouraged to buy tickets in advance online, as space is extremely limited. Tickets will be $25 at the door (while supplies last).

Atlas Performing Arts Center is located at 1333, H Street NE, right in the heart of the H Street corridor - nearest Metro Station is Union Station - (Red Line) & guests can also take the FREE DC Streetcar to the 13th & H Street stop.
