Miscommunication....

Miscommunication

A co-worker got a pen stuck inside our printer. He started to try and remove the pen, but I told him we don't have time for that now, just put a note on the printer telling folks not to use it and then report it to the Help Desk. So he grabbed a piece of paper and scribbled on it. I left before he finished the note.
About 20 minutes later, one of my techs comes in laughing and says he was just in the lobby, saw a piece of paper on a printer and went to investigate.

Attached is what he found. Sometimes things don't always come out the way you want them to...

Now that you've smiled at least once, it's your turn to spread the stupidity and send this to someone you want to bring a smile to (maybe even a chuckle)...in other words, send it to everyone. We all need to smile every once in a while.

Precious: Based on the novel "Push" by Sapphire...

I read the novel, "Push" by Sapphire years ago when it first came out. I never thought of it as a movie. I always loved the book but after I read it I let it go as a product of it's time. It's such a book of the late 80's because of the style and focus of the book.
.

Sapphire is a talented writer and poet and I'd heard she resisted it being made into a movie until she'd seen Lee Daniels' "Shadowboxer". After seeing that she knew he was a director who had the vision to pull off the material in PUSH without it being made into something that explotied the subject matter.

I'm so glad Lee Daniels did this movie. It's one of my favorite of the year and destined to be one of my all time favorites. I can not wait until it released on dvd so I can have it in my pesonal collection.

Much has been said about the performances in this movie and they are incredible. Mo'Nique, Mariah Carey, Paula Patton, Sherri Sheppard, and Lenny Kravitz are all perfectly cast and their portrayals are something to behold. The standout is newcomer Gabourey 'Gabby' Sidibe who for me gives a performance that seeps into your bone marrow.

The entire movie is extremely well paced with highlights interspersed with the heaviness of the material. There were audible gasps a few times as well as laughter in very human moments.

I am planning on seeing this movie again really soon just to take in what I might've missed. I will probably be viewing this movie for a long long time...

Michael Jackson's "This Is It"

I saw Michael Jackson's, "This Is It" this past Sunday. I am not one who usually goes to movie theaters unless it's for a film festival or an independent film. Most movies I wait until it comes out on dvd.

I couldn't do that for this movie. I wouldn't call myself an over the top Michael Jackson fan but I've always enjoyed his music and I can see there are certain points in my life where his music was definitely a soundtrack for what was happening at specific times.

Hearing certain songs of his conjures up many memories and images.

I didn't have any expectations when going to see this movie. Or course I'd heard so much about it but I went with an open mind of just experiencing it.

I hadn't realized how far they were into the process of putting this show together. There are some production sequences that are ready to go as we speak.

I also realized that Michael Jackson was in great voice. One thing I have said over the years is that Michael was an entertainer, not necessarily a singer but he hit some notes during, "Human Nature" that were beautiful. I don't think he was using his full voice at the advice of his vocal coach.

The dancers, band, background singers, and production team were all top notch and looking forward to being part of the event. Things were coming together extremely well. I can see where this show would be historic.

I'm so happy we have this record to maintain the memory of his genius.
